Links and anchors

The types of link available on a button or an image (page on your site, external address, email, telephone, shop), links to a specific section using anchors, and the page's main heading.

Wherever a component offers a Link (button, card, logo, image), the Link type field lets you choose the destination. A link stores the target page, not its address: renaming a page never breaks the links pointing to it.

The types of link

  • Page on your site: choose the page from the list (with search), then, if you wish, an anchor on that page so visitors land directly on a section.
  • External URL: a full address (“https://…”). The Open in a new window switch is enabled by default, so visitors don't leave your site.
  • Email: opens the visitor's email application with the address you specify. Telephone: starts the call on mobile.
  • Shop (if your site has one): the whole catalogue, a showcase page, a product, the basket, the checkout or the customer account area.

Creating an anchor to target a section

  1. Open the component that marks the spot (a “Our prices” heading, for example) and go to the Advanced options tab.
  2. Tick Enable an anchor and give it a short name, using lower-case letters, digits and hyphens (“prices”). A name already used on the page will be rejected.
  3. In the button or menu entry that should lead there, choose the Page on your site type, then the page, then the anchor from the list. The link will scroll down to the section.

The page's main heading

In the same advanced options, the Main heading of the page box designates the large heading that search engines associate with the page. Only one per page: if several components are ticked, only the first counts. Page-opening components (banners, title / tagline) offer this option.
