Showcase pages
Pages on your site that bring products together by keyword: new arrivals, gift ideas, seasonal selections. The catalogue is the first of them.
A showcase page is a page on your site that brings products together by keyword: “Our new arrivals”, “Gift ideas”, “Our summer selection”. You give it a title and some text, it has its own address and it updates itself whenever your products change. Showcase pages are managed in the shop’s Showcase pages tab.
The catalogue, your first showcase page
The first row in the list is your catalogue, at the address /shop/. It’s a showcase page like any other, with one difference: it has no filter, so it displays all the products you have on sale. It is always published and cannot be deleted: it’s the entrance to your shop. Its title and introductory text serve as the shop’s name and tagline.
Creating a showcase page
- Click New showcase page and give it a title: its address is derived from it. If you rename the page later, the old address automatically redirects to the new one.
- Write an introductory text: this is the text your visitors read at the top of the page.
- Choose the page content: “All my products”, or “A selection” defined by keywords (five at most). The page displays the products that carry all of these keywords: the more you add, the narrower the selection.
- Optional: a priority (1 comes before 2) to order your showcase pages among themselves.
- Keywords are added to each product, in the General tab of its product sheet. From the product list, you can also tick several products and use Attach to showcase page.
- A showcase page for which no product carries the keywords is not published: the list flags this (“no product carries these keywords”).
- Twenty showcase pages at most.
