Your legal identity

Company name, address, country, SIRET, and VAT number: where to enter them and what they're used for (shop, emails to buyers, invoices).

The Legal identity card in your Global settings holds the official details of your business: company name, registered address, country, SIRET number, and, if you have one, your intra-community VAT number. Leave the latter blank if you are exempt from VAT.

What it's used for

  • Your shop displays it in the checkout process (under “Sold by”) and at the bottom of the emails sent to your buyers: this is a seller's mandatory disclosure requirement. As long as it's missing, the shop's “Ready to sell” banner will alert you.
  • The country is used for the shop's VAT rules and pre-fills your purchases.
  • It will also be used for your subscription invoices.
