The AI assistant
What the editor's assistant can do, how to talk to it, the energy gauge, suggestions and text tools, undoing its changes, and what it refuses to do.
The Assistant button on the toolbar opens a panel where you describe, in plain English, what you want to change on the open page: "fix the spelling mistakes", "add a testimonials section", "shorten this heading". The assistant works right inside the editor, before your eyes, and everything it does can be reversed with Undo (⌘Z or Ctrl+Z).

For anything handled elsewhere (organising pages, the media library, shop products, languages, publishing, the domain, the subscription), it explains where to go and offers an Open … button that takes you there. For a question ("what is a section?"), it answers using this help centre.
Suggestions and text tools
The Suggestions button lists the most common actions, with nothing to type: Correct the page text, Rephrase the page texts, Editorial audit of the page, Optimise the SEO title and description, Write the content of this page, Add a page, Write a blog article. The two writing actions require an instruction ("what should this page say?") to avoid generic text.
Rephrasing and correcting open the Rework the texts dialogue: the scope (the whole page, or the selected component), the type (correct spelling, improve, shorten, lengthen, harmonise or change the tone), a tone and a free-form instruction. The suggestions are shown component by component, with tick boxes, before anything is written: Apply selection or Reject all. The audit produces a read-only report; SEO optimisation suggests a title and a description for you to Use or regenerate.
The energy gauge
At the top of the panel, an energy gauge ⚡ sets the pace: each action has a cost, shown on its button, and the tank recharges continuously, a few points per hour. If an action costs more than you have left, the assistant tells you what time it will become possible. The cost is refunded if the action fails, but not if you click Stop part-way through. A second counter, the monthly AI credits, is shared with translation and resets on the first of the month. See AI credits, energy and quotas.
Going back
Every change made by the assistant is added to the editor's history: Undo (⌘Z, Ctrl+Z) reverses them one by one, yours as well as its own. While it is working, the Stop button interrupts the task: whatever has already been applied is kept, and can be undone. An automatic backup of the page is also taken before its first change; restoring it isn't a button yet, so write to us from the Contact page if you need it.
What it doesn't do
- It doesn't change the whole site at once: its actions apply to the open page.
- It never deletes a site or an account, and it asks for confirmation before deleting a page.
- It doesn't publish on your behalf: you decide when the site goes live.
- It doesn't create shop products, doesn't translate the whole site and doesn't connect a domain: it takes you to the screen that does.
- Online appointment scheduling, live chat, importing Google reviews: these features don't exist in WebAcappella, and it tells you so plainly.
