What the Visits section shows you, how visits are counted without cookies or a banner, and what isn’t counted.

Your site’s Visits section counts your visitors without cookies, without a banner and without any personal data: reliable orders of magnitude, not surveillance. Nothing to install, and no slowdown for your pages.

Reading the dashboard#

• Three indicators: Today, Last 7 days (compared with the previous seven days) and Last 30 days.
• A globe of countries and the visits per day curve over thirty days.
• The rankings: most viewed pages, referring sites (where your visitors come from), countries and devices (mobile or computer).
• Today’s visits are counted live; the details of past days are consolidated each night, hence the “Consolidated on …” badge.

What is counted, and what isn’t#

A visit is a page of your site that was actually displayed. Identified bots and search engines, browser preloads and internal previews are excluded, and reloading the same page within a minute isn’t counted again. No IP address is kept: there is therefore no count of “unique visitors”, only visits. History is kept for twenty-five months.

The first visits#

Counting starts at the first publication, with nothing to activate. As long as the site hasn’t received any visits, the section displays a demonstration dashboard, marked “Demo”, to show you what it will look like.
