Adding, Moving, or Deleting a Component

The component palette (zones, categories, preset cards), placement mode for positioning or moving a block with a single click, and unique components such as the header.

A component is a block of content (banner, service list, gallery, form…) that you stack within the sections of a page. The Component button on the toolbar opens the palette; you make your choice, then click where you want to place it.

The palette#

• A search field (“Search for a component…”), a row of zones (Header, Normal, Footer, All), preset according to the page you have open, and a row of categories: Titles, Content, Media, Conversion, Social, Pricing, Business.
• Each card shows a real preview of the component. Clicking selects it and displays its description at the bottom; Add (or a double-click) confirms.
• Some components come as preset cards: five headers, four footers, two download layouts. Placing a card sets up both the component and its section background in one go; you can then fine-tune it with Edit content.

Placement Mode: One Click, Not a Drag#

After clicking Add, a badge follows your mouse and the page shows the possible locations (before each component, and at the end of each section). Click once at the spot you want: there’s no need to hold the button down or drag. The component you place is immediately selected and brought into view. The Esc key (or the Cancel button on the banner) exits the mode without placing anything.

Moving a component#

Hover over the component and click Move this component: the same placement mode opens, with the locations equivalent to the current position greyed out. Click on the new location. Once it arrives in another section, the component takes on that section’s background. To move the boundary between two sections, see Sections, separators and seams.

Deleting a component#

Delete this component asks for confirmation. The action can be reversed with Undo (⌘Z or Ctrl+Z). There is no duplicate function: to use the same component twice, simply place it again from the palette.
