Cookies, trackers, and legal notices on your site

Your published site sets no tracking cookies and loads no third-party trackers: what that means for the cookie banner, and what remains your responsibility (legal notices, terms and conditions of sale).

Sites published with WebAcappella load no advertising scripts or third-party analytics tools, and visit statistics are collected without cookies. An automatic check, carried out every time the engine is updated, ensures that no tracker slips in.

Do you need a cookie banner?#

A consent banner is used to ask visitors for their agreement before setting non-essential cookies (advertising, personally identifiable audience measurement). Your site sets none. The only technical elements loaded are card payment for the shop (Stripe) and, if enabled, the anti-robot verification on forms: these are strictly necessary for the service the visitor has requested. That’s why the site doesn’t offer a banner, and doesn’t need one.

Legal notices and terms and conditions of sale#

• Your site’s legal notices are not generated for you: create a “Legal notices” page with your information (identity, address, hosting provider), and link to it from the footer. See Header and footer.
• For the shop, your terms and conditions of sale are a link that you enter in its settings, pointing to a page on your site or an external address. The legal identity entered in your account, on the other hand, is displayed automatically in the checkout process and at the foot of the emails sent to buyers. See Configure selling.
• The messages from your forms are not kept by WebAcappella: they are sent to you by email, and it’s your mailbox that stores them.
