The links¶
Links allow you to navigate your site, send your visitors to other sites, send e-mails, download files or change the language of your site.
The links can be applied to :
The text (hyperlinks)
The images
Dynamic buttons and menus
Multimedia elements
Note
For each type of link (except for e-mails), you can choose to make it effective in the current page (change page in the same window) or to open it in a new web page.
Here are the different types of possible links:
- Link to a page on this website
Your site has several pages and you wish to create a link to one of these pages. Click on this type of link and the page explorer and the list of pages will appear. Then choose the page to which the link will be effective. The link is in place.
- Link to a file
This option adds a link that will point to the file (PDF, Word, etc…) of your choice.
- Link to an Internet address
The link directs visitors to an external website. A field appears asking you to “Type in an Internet address […]”. Fill in the field with the Internet address to which the hyperlink will point. Don’t forget to put “http://” at the beginning of your address for the link to work properly.
- Link to an E-mail address
The link sends an Email to the indicated address. Fill in the field with the desired email address. By clicking on this link, visitors to your site will be able to send an email to the specified address. This link will automatically open the default email sending utility.
- Change of language
Available only on sites where the multilingual option has been activated. It will allow visitors to your site to change language. This link will change the language of your site (the rest of the navigation will then take place in the language in which the link points).
Note
Additional link types will appear for some components - “Send form” for buttons and images - “Open full page image” (lightbox effect) for images
