For 15 years, WebAcappella (WA) has been built around a loyal community of individuals and professionals who were somewhat dubious when two versions came to replace the very popular WA 4 released in 2010. The choice was not easy because WA FX and WA Grid [read VVMac 157] are two very different approaches. The first one is based on the heritage of the past, more DTP oriented, and allows to freely place objects on the page. An easy solution for neophytes, but which finds its limits today when you have to build by hand each desktop, tablet and smartphone version of a site!
WA Grid is natively responsive: it facilitates the design of pages whose display automatically adjusts to the screen format of the viewing device. It is based on Bootstrap, a practical tool but with a restrictive approach due to its nested grid layout system. It requires a little time to get used to it, but in the end, this modern, responsive approach is much more efficient.
