WebAcappella Fusion SP4 Available on May 18: E-commerce Promotions and All the New Features Announced

News

It’s official: WebAcappella Fusion Service Pack 4 will be released on Monday, May 18, 2026. You’ll find all the new features already presented in our May 4 article — the new Grid and FlexLayout containers, the four components (button, medallions, table, accordion), the gradient Shape Divider editor, and search in the resource picker — plus a new feature that hadn’t yet been revealed: promotion management for selected products in the e-commerce component.

Info

The update to SP4 is free for all WebAcappella Fusion licenses purchased or updated since May 4. For others, it follows the usual Service Pack schedule.

New in SP4: promotions on selected products

Until now, applying a discount to products in your WebAcappella store required modifying prices product by product, then resetting everything once the operation was complete. For a store with just a few items, that’s manageable. For a store with dozens or even hundreds of SKUs, it becomes unmanageable—and tedious with every sales promotion.

SP4 will introduce a true promotion system into the e-commerce component. You’ll be able to select one or more products, define a discount (percentage or fixed amount), and apply it in just a few clicks. The original prices remain unchanged at the base level: the promotion is an overlay that can be enabled and disabled without touching the product page.

Native display on the product page

From the visitor’s perspective, the display follows the expected conventions of modern e-commerce: strikethrough price for the original price, the promotional price highlighted, and a discount badge (“-20%,” “-€10,” or a custom label) displayed on the product thumbnail. Visitors immediately spot the deals, without you having to tweak your store’s design.

Typical use cases

  • Seasonal sales: select the relevant items, apply a 30% discount, then deactivate the promotion at the end of the period. Prices automatically revert to normal without having to adjust each product individually.
  • End-of-line clearance: precisely target the items you need to clear out, without affecting the rest of the catalog or disrupting margins on new arrivals.
  • Flash sales and short-term promotions: 15% off a selection for a weekend, back to normal on Monday morning, all in one step.
  • Promotions by collection or brand: apply a uniform discount to a set of related products to keep your store active without having to rewrite all the product listings.
  • Special promotions (Black Friday, store anniversary, product launch): prepare the selection in advance, activate it on the big day.
Tip

Promotions integrate directly into the existing checkout flow: cart, product page, list page. No graphic or template modifications are needed to display the promotion.

All the new features already announced, at a glance

For those who may have missed our May 4 article, here is a brief summary of the major new features in Service Pack 4. The full details of each feature are explained there; here we’ll limit ourselves to the essentials.

Two new flexible containers

  • The Grid: layout with perfectly regular columns and rows, ideal for galleries, team grids, and collections of testimonials.
  • The FlexLayout Container: adaptive layouts based on the CSS flexbox model, with automatic line breaks and configurable alignment. The right tool for sections where each element has its own logic.

Four new components

  • Button: complete redesign with separate hover/active states, dynamic colors from the site’s palette, and native integration into flex containers.
  • Medallions: circular image + title + subtitle + link, perfect for teams, testimonials, certifications, and partners.
  • Table: a true structured table (pricing, comparisons, technical specifications) with responsive management on mobile.
  • Accordion: collapsible and expandable content, ideal for FAQs and information-rich sections.

Gradient Shape Divider

A shape divider editor (waves, curves, diagonals, triangles) integrated directly into the box settings, with up to three gradient zones per shape. No more custom CSS needed to achieve colorful transitions between sections.

Search in the resource picker

A search bar appears in the picker to instantly filter images and files attached to the project. Essential as soon as the media library exceeds a few dozen items.

How to receive SP4 on May 18?

If you purchased or updated your WebAcappella Fusion license since May 4, 2026, an SP4 license will be emailed to you as soon as it becomes available. No action is required on your part: simply register it in the application upon launch on May 18 to activate all the new features.

For other licenses, the Service Pack follows the usual WebAcappella Fusion update cycle. If your license is no longer within the update period, you can renew it at any time from your customer portal to take advantage of SP4—and all future Service Packs for the duration of your renewal.

Tip

Remember to back up your projects before any major update. WebAcappella Fusion now supports automatic cloud restore points, but an extra local copy never hurts.

See you next Monday

SP4 marks an important milestone in the evolution of WebAcappella Fusion: new layout flexibility with flexible containers, a significant expansion of the component library, enhanced graphical finishing, and—for store users—a practical business tool to bring their catalog to life. See you on Monday, May 18 for the official release, accompanied by the full getting-started guide.
