Two years after the launch of WebAcappella Fusion, the Service Pack 2 marks a new milestone. This update introduces features that simplify the day-to-day creation and maintenance of your sites.
Dynamic color palette
No more color headaches. The dynamic palette lets you define a color scheme for your site, then change them globally with a single click. Change your primary color and all elements using it update instantly—buttons, titles, backgrounds, borders.
This is ideal for testing design variations or adjusting your brand guidelines without having to modify each component one by one. You can also use labels to name your colors (“Primary Color,” “Secondary Color”) and maintain visual consistency across the entire site.
In practice, the dynamic palette transforms the way you design a website. You define your visual identity once, and every component references it. If a client asks you to switch from blue to green, a single change to the palette is all it takes—no need to go through every page to modify each element individually.
Link Checker
Broken links harm the user experience and SEO. Google penalizes sites containing dead links. The new link checker automatically analyzes all pages on your site and identifies broken links—both internal and external.
You can fix in a few clicks what would take hours to check manually. The tool distinguishes between internal links (deleted or renamed pages) and external links (third-party sites that are offline) to help you prioritize fixes.
For a showcase site with about ten pages, the check is nearly instantaneous. On a larger site with dozens of external links (partners, social media, resources), the tool saves you considerable time by automatically identifying URLs that no longer respond. Regular monitoring ensures your visitors never encounter a 404 error page.
Breadcrumb
The breadcrumb component helps your visitors navigate your site’s structure and move easily between levels. It’s also an SEO signal recognized by Google, which displays it directly in search results instead of the raw URL—improving click-through rates.
The breadcrumb trail is typically placed at the top of the page, below the navigation menu. It is automatically generated from your site’s directory structure: no need to configure it manually for each page. If you reorganize your pages, the breadcrumb trail updates accordingly.
Responsive block-based text component
The new responsive text component uses a block-based approach. Each text section intelligently adapts to the screen size, with specific layout rules for each format (desktop, tablet, mobile). The result: perfectly readable and well-organized text on all devices, without compromising on design.
This component is particularly well-suited for content-rich pages: blog posts, detailed product pages, terms and conditions, etc. Text blocks automatically stack and resize on mobile, providing a comfortable reading experience without zooming or horizontal scrolling.
